The Gachinger Kantorei was founded by Helmuth Rilling in 1954 and takes its name from the place where it was founded, a little village in the Swabian Mountains. After 15 years of work, the Gachinger Kantorei`s recordings of all of Bach`s sacred cantatas and oratorios were finally completed and released right on time for the 300th anniversary of the birth of Johann Sebatian Bach.
