Vaudeville began with Coon Rapids, MN native Christopher Gummeson in the Fall of 2007. through numerous lineup changes the band now consists of Gummeson and friends Chris, Matt. The the summer of 2008 Vaudeville won a battle of the bands competition sending them to Nashville to record their debut CD, "Dismantle the Sky" with Chris Mara. During the same summer the band would also win a battle to give them a slot at the Minnesota State Fair. As anticipation for the CD grew Vaudeville landed a show opening for national & regional acts, We the Kings, Forever the Sickest Kids, The Cab and Never Shout Never. Now with the summer of '09 approaching the band, despite some small set backs, Vaudeville has released their debut cd "Dismantle the Sky". The CD draws forth all of the best creative works from lead singer/songwriter Christopher Gummeson in the two years of Vaudeville's existence. Works stem from personal issues to the problems within ones life that all can relate too. The songwriting in many of the songs is hidden and left open for interpretation. "Dismantle the Sky" takes the listener on a crazy alternative rock journey through the eyes of the band and their sense of creativity in a music scene desperate for something still somewhat easy to listen to and enjoy but also something different to catch the ears as well.
