Mass of Man was born and raised in the small town of Westerly, Rhode Island. His passion for hip-hop and rap music came around the age of 15 when he began rap-battling his friends at school. From then on, he began writing his thoughts down on paper. At first his room was filled with pages and pages of written lyrics, and he became so passionate that he invested all of his hard work and dedication into writing and spending whatever time he could in the recording studio. As his music developed, he became well-recognized in his area. He's now ready for the next big step - and that is to engage in performances with larger audiences. His songs range from stories about his personal struggles to scenarios he thinks up in his head. It is his way of storytelling. His musical influences include Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Macklemore. At 6'7", Mass of Man is known as a gentle giant. His name was the creation of his friends from Mixed Martial Arts class. He made everyone else look small when they sparred and they nicknamed him Mass of Man. Eventually it was shortened to M.O.M. Music is Mass of Man's escape. He spends hours perfecting his songs just right so he can share them with everyone. It is his dream to expand and reach a wider fan base so he can inspire people, while making a living doing what he loves.
