The goal of any artist is to get out what's in them. We do this not just because we want to, but we feel like we have to. I make music because I love the feeling it gives me. I know, it's a very selfish reason. However, I feel other people can benefit from what I create and I want as much people to hear it as possible. Of course making money would be a big plus, but if I never made any money from this, I would still do it until the day I die. If I can make one person feel something, then it was all worth it. Runaway Slave is a special song, because having no political affiliations, I take no sides. I purely want to send out a positive universal message that anyone can relate to. We've all had times where things were not clear. Every one has felt trapped at some point in their life. I don't judge anyone for the decisions they make in life. In this great country there is a lot of opportunity. Their is also a lot of despair. However, you choose what you give your attention to. You can accept your reality, or you can stand up and make a change. Dreamers become reality makers. We are all here in America to live that reality made from the dreamer's dreams.
