Dave, being the yakker he is, was the one that made first contact in 2012. I was at the local gym wearing my "So many guitars, So little time" T shirt. Dave says, "Sooo ...you play guitar?". I say, "Hell, yaah". Thus, a Rock N Roll relationship begins! I'd been playing guitar since my daughter was born and couldn't spend 5 hours a walking around a golf course anymore. My first guitar was a Costco Yamaha acoustic. Within a year I bought my first Les Paul. Ask Dave, he'll say my favorite guitar is the one that's in my hand at the moment - cause I love guitars! Now I really love a growling Les Paul sound, but lately I own more Tele's with maple necks that anything else. But my ace in the hole is an Epiphone Casino Elitist. You hear that tone on "Take me Home" and most of the solo's on the first Radio Daze record. I use a 2014 Tele American Deluxe on the main riff on "Fire". I use a Mexi Tele hollowbody with Lollars on "Digital Freaks" and most of the others. Ok, enough about the guitars. The songs come from our love of ancient bands like Bad Company, T-Rex, and the Sex Pistols and modern bands like Superchunk, The Black Keys, and Jack White. We started playing covers for 2 years. Dave re-inspired me. Dave is hard core. He brings the thunder to the band. He's a stickler for audio detail, which helps since I blew out my hearing in my right ear in 2013. We started recording in our little studio above the garage in 2015 and finished our debut in October. Hope you like it. Welcome to Radio Daze!
