LUCAS is a musical outing by long-time friends L. and Gib. Since meeting in middle school, the pair have a history of scattered basement recordings. In 2006, they decided to finally record a proper album. So, they teamed up with engineering dynamo Jamie Carter of CarterCo Recording and went for it. With L.'s songbook AND his pocketbook, Gib's relative on-timishness, as well as Jamie's studio prowess, JET.SET.READY.GO was recorded and will be released in early 2009 on Aesthetic Empiricists. Well aware of their roles on the pop landscape, LUCAS have crafted a handful of songs about loves lost-and-found, chance encounters and the connecting flights in-between.
