THE ROAD AHEAD features all original songs by Chris Thompson. The record was engineered and produced by Bill Nershi of The String Cheese Incident at Sleeping Giant Studio in Nederland, CO. The record features Keith Moseley on bass (SCI), Tyler Grant on guitar (Emmitt Nershi Band), Christian Teele on drums (eTown), and Andy Thorn on banjo (Emmitt Nershi Band). Special guest performances by Joe Lessard on fiddle (Head for the Hills), Adam Kinghorn on guitar and vocals (Head for the Hills), Jordan Ramsey on mandolin (Long Road Home), David Reid on saxophone, Charlie Provenza on mandolin, James Thomas on keyboard, Ayo Awosika and Susannah Thompson providing backing vocals. Originally from Rochester, MN, Chris Thompson has lived and performed in Mexico, Europe, Southern Africa, the Caribbean and most of the US. In 2001, Chris settled down in Colorado, planted roots and started writing and recording his unique flavor of acoustic fusion music.
