Kool & The Gang
Kool & The Gang脱胎于上个世纪60年代一支爵士乐的和音团体，后来成为70年代最有影响力的Funk音乐团体，同时他们在80年代也是最受欢迎的R&B组合。 Kool & The Gang利用他们爵士乐的背景把即兴创作运用到Funk和灵魂乐中，形成了自己鲜明而充满活力的音乐风格。Kool & The Gang是由Robert "Kool" Bell和他的兄弟Ronald与几个儿时的玩伴组成，最早以“Soul Town Band”开始在格林威治村的俱乐部表演。他们的第一张录音室专辑于1972年推出，歌曲“Jungle Boogie”在73年底成为他们第一支排行榜前十位的作品。 1979年，Kool & The Gang 凭借着他们在著名的电影原声唱片《Saturday Night Fever》中献唱的歌曲“Open Sesame”，捧得了第一座Grammy奖。
